I started this painting whilst on my residency at Xenia last year. The initial mark making was made whilst the storm Isha was roaring outside the studio. The yellow was added the morning after the storm, and the rest was finished in my studio in London. 

Within my painting, I am interested in preserving the freshness of an initial mark. I strive to keep the raw energy of the original mark unedited, if possible, in the finished piece.
