This colour story is perhaps more about textures rather than colour. I took this snap during an open day at Tredegar house a 17th century national trust manor house in Wales. I love the mixed tiles used in this fireplace next to the marble and the rough worn wood. The subtle palette of white, cream, aubergine and blue mixed with the natural materials would work well in a modern interior scheme but also for textiles. Used for fashion textile in particular I would perhaps add an accent colour like a sharp chartreuse green to give the colour story an unexpected twist and make it more interesting. A jolt of unexpected colour is hardly ever a bad thing in fashion.
